SMMC PROJECTS

Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (SMMC) is a Religious Institute of Diocesan Right, belonging to the Catholic Diocese of Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana, West Africa. As an autonomous institute, SMMC runs projects like schools and a hospital. SMMC schools are called Mater Ecclesiae School (MES). It is a Basic School with both sexes, established at Sokode-Gbogame, Sisters' Convent, Hohoe and Kwaekese in the Apostolic Vicariate of Donkorkrom in the Eastern Region of Ghana (In partnership with the Viariate).

Mater Ecclesiae Hospital (MEH) is also established at Sokode -Gbogame, Sisters' Convent.

SMMC has Sewing Departments at Sokode-Gbogame, Ho Catholic Secretariat, Dzelukope in the Keta Akatsi Diocese and Kwaekese in the Apostolic Vicariate of Donkorkrom.

There is also Host Bakery Department at Sokode Gborgame, Sisters' Convent.

MES is a Private Basic School with both sexes, noted for Academic excellence and discipline.

MES, Hohoe located close to St. Agatha Vocational School. it is a Private Basic School with both sexes. discipline and Academic Excellent is the Hallmark of MES.

Mater Ecclesiae School, Kwaekese is a mixed (both sexes) school located at Kwaekese, Donkorkrom. it is noted for quality education and behavioral formation.

MEH gives quality and self-dedicated health service to the public.

SMMC bakes and sells host on large scale to Parishes and Dioceses. There is also wine for sale on the same scale. These are used for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
